Crossing Border is the Netherlands' leading international literature and music festival, taking place this year from 30-10 to 3-11 (32nd edition). On 31 October, a broad selection of the best writers and music acts will travel from The Hague to Belgium for the 3rd edition of Crossing Border Antwerp.

In mostly exclusive performances, well-known international writers will talk about their recent work, promising debutants will present themselves to the audience and there will be performances by alternative pop music acts. The festival takes place on multiple stages in Arenberg theatre.

Crossing Border Antwerp is organised in collaboration with De Studio, Arenberg and Antwerpen Boeken & Letteren stad Antwerpen and is the opening of November Book Month in Antwerp.

Bookshop and book signings

Crossing Border has its very own bookshop: the Other World Bookshop.

There are books available for every event of the day and evening programme. The authors will sign copies of their books immediately after their event.

What is the main language of the events

All interviews at Crossing Border will be held in English. If an international author does not speak sufficient English, an interpreter will be present at the event. Performances by Dutch language authors will be held in Dutch.

What is the start/end time of the festival?

The festivalprogramme starts at 18.00 and will end around midnight.
